The NBA trade deadline is fast approaching, and that means Yahoo! Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski will break some news. Tuesday evening, Wojnarowski tweeted that Goran Dragic's agent told Phoenix Suns officials that he will not sign an extension this summer. Dragic's agent, Billy Duffy, offered a list of teams making up "preferred destinations." And guess which team is on that list?

ESPN sources say Suns trading Dragic by Thursday's 3 p.m. trade deadline is now regarded as the likely scenario

Dragic earned a spot on the All-NBA Third Team last season and would improve the Heat's abysmal point guard play. Pat Riley is apparently interested in Dragic, and for good reason. Miami's point guard trio of Mario Chalmers, Norris Cole and Shabazz Napier has provided inconsistent offense, little 3-point shooting and even a botched in-bounds pass late in a game.
Up until today, many Heat fans wondered what Miami had to offer Phoenix in a potential trade. But one could ask the same question for the other two teams on Duffy's list. This situation is fluid -- Wojnarowski said earlier Tuesday evening that Phoenix remained "hopeful" of re-signing Dragic -- and perhaps a team will offer a trade that Phoenix can't resist. For now, though, wait and see. Never count Pat Riley out.
