GAME PREVIEW
The Sixers lost last night in Orlando, and now look to get a recovery win in Miami the very next night. The Heat, although on more solid ground than the Sixers can't take anything for granted.
The Sixers, shockingly, or not, traded away Michael Carter-Williams at the trade deadline, and now are left with an even more depleted roster. The Heat, made big news adding Goran Dragic but just a few days later learned that Chris Bosh would be out for the rest of the season. The Heat lost Saturday at home to the Pelicans.
The Sixers are a young team, one that took a game here in Miami earlier this season. But that was before Whiteside was starting and dominating, and we are hoping that Goran Dragic has learned some of the offense over the past few days. The Sixers have lost four of their past 5 games.
This is one of the games that the Miami Heat just absolutely have to find a way to win. They cannot lose at home to the Sixers and expect that things will just turn around. The Heat will likely be on the cusp on the playoff race for the rest of the season, and games like this could determine the outcome.
A key watch for this game will be Whiteside vs Noel. Two rim protecting bigs who are young and eager to make a difference. However, the game will likely be decided on how effective Dwyane Wade will be. Without Chris Bosh, the Heat need Wade to be good every night.
Tune into the game and join us on our GameThread later tonight.
