First, the announcement:

Winslow was often Mock Drafted as a top 5 pick, going to the Knicks in many of them. He didn't even workout with Miami because the Heat felt as if they never had a shot at selecting him!

Reaction from his new teammates:

Winslow minutes after being drafted:

On Dwyane Wade: "I'm going to play with Dwyane Wade and learn from one of the greatest."

On playing under Pat Riley "I've always been a winner, so to have a winner and leader like Pat Riley...that motivates me."

He was then interviewed by Heat broadcaster Eric Reid in front of HeatNation at the AmericanAirlines Arena:

"Going to South Beach, Miami Heat organization, Pat Riley, I'm so excited to go down there and try to win a championship. Winning is what I like to do." He continued with what he could bring to Miami "I'm a guy that really prides myself on my defense. Offensively, I'm a guy that can do it all, knock down open jump shots, going to the rack, making winning basketball plays. To go 10 to an organization like the Heat is a blessing... Pat Riley was just as excited as me."

Miami then drafted Tennesee SG Josh Richardson in the second round, and after the Draft concluded, Pat Riley took some time to address the media in regards to the Heat's selections.

According to AP Writer Tim Reynolds, the introductory Heat press conference for both Justise Winslow & 2nd round pick Josh Richardson can be seen Monday morning on Heat.com.

I must emphasize again how much of a steal this selection was. No one here at HHH or in any mock draft thought he would fall into our laps, similar to the way Caron Butler did in 2002. Now Miami gets to see a top 5 talent without trading up for it. So Heat Nation, how do you like your new player?
