New, comment

The Heat's co-captain makes one high school senior's dream come true.

Dwyane Wade

Negeen Fallahzadeh, a senior at Western High School in Davie, Florida started the social media campaign #WadetoWestern in 2014 in hopes that the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade would attend her school's graduation ceremony.

With the support of school administrators and her classmates; letters, tweets and retweets were sent for months.

Wade and his team took notice and surprised Fallahzadeh by greeting her on stage and delivering a speech to Western's graduating class at Nova Southeastern University last night.

Then he posted the following on Instagram:

Wade's teammate, Udonis Haslem also shared a few words to Western's seniors by releasing the following video:

It's not the first time Wade has surprised his fans, he surprised Archbishop Coleman Carroll senior Nicole Muxo at her prom in 2013 after she posted her promposal to him on YouTube.

Wade's appearance Thursday night continues to show his strong ties to the South Florida community during a week where many rumors have swirled regarding his contract status and a possible rift between him and the Heat.

Last Friday, he joined hundreds of cyclists in Miami's monthly Critical Mass event.
