Dwyane Wade, LeBron James spotted vacationing together in the Bahamas

New, comments

The two best buddies take a break from the craziness that is NBA free agency from some R&R.

Dwyane Wade and LeBron James -- best friends, former teammates and current unrestricted free agents -- were spotted at the Atlantis in the Bahamas for a much needed vacation along with their wives and fellow buddies Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers and Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks.

Twitter user Sierra Kirsch spotted the duo Wednesday night and promptly posted up pictures of them walking around and taking in the sights (presumably after she finished trembling).

While James sits back and waits for the Cleveland Cavaliers to complete several transactions to lock up their own free agents before signing a new contract, Wade has also been engaged with Miami Heat management and reportedly making progress on a new contract that could possibly be a multiyear deal.

Goran Dragic signed a five-year, $90 million deal on Wednesday, less than the max deal he could have signed for, that left some wiggle room for the Heat to possibly meet Wade's contract demands.

Does the vacation mean it's time to celebrate the fact that he's already struck a deal with Miami or is there something else to it? One thing is for sure, the Cavaliers appear to have too much money locked up yesterday to Kevin Love and Iman Shumpert, among others soon including Tristan Thompson for a reported five-year, $80 million deal, before even inking James to a new contract so they don't look to be contenders for Wade's services.
