Miami Heat rookie Josh Richardson enjoyed a breakout week during Miami’s recent trip, underscored in thick ink by a viscous dunk in Milwaukee.
Now the Tennessee graduate’s explosive one-handed jam over Greg Monroe last Wednesday night has been named the NBA’s top play of the week.

The slam came during a 14-point contribution from the bench, which included shooting 3/4 from beyond the arc in 24 productive minutes.
Richardson, the no. 40 pick in the 2015 draft, carried over the form into Friday night’s rout of Chicago where he scored a career-high 22 points encompassing four triples.
The 22-year-old’s role in the Heat’s rotation has increased since the season-ending injury to Beno Udrih, providing seemingly limitless energy off the bench.
Ironically, Bucks’ fans were heard chanting "who are you?" at Richardson during his first trips to the line.
Way to introduce yourself formally, Josh. Previously, the play had topped the SportsCenter Top 10.
