Justise Winsow only played 14 minutes against the Orlando Magic on Sunday night due to a sprained ankle he suffered. The injury kept him out of practice and will likely keep him from the final two remaining regular season games for the Miami Heat.
INJURY UPDATE: Justise Winslow (ankle) did not participate in today's team practice. His status remains day-to-day.— Miami HEAT (@MiamiHEAT) April 11, 2016
Winslow made it very clear that he wants to be 100% when the playoffs roll around this weekend. "It's tough. I grew up as a competitor and I want to play. We'll see how it feels tomorrow. I'll be smart about it."
With the injury, Gerald Green will likely see some more team on the wing, and maybe even Josh McRoberts. The Heat finish the season at Detroit and at Boston, with the hope that they can still improve their playoff seeding.
Winslow becomes the next injured player with already sidelined Chris Bosh and Tyler Johnson. The Heat just signed guard Briante Weber and plan to sign Dorell Wright soon as well.
