Orlando Summer League dates announced for Miami Heat

New, comments

The Miami Heat will participate in the Orlando Summer League this summer. Here's the latest details about it.

The Summer League has always been something the Miami Heat believe in and this year they will again participate in the Orlando gathering. The dates for the Orlando Summer League begin on July 2, and Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel shared with us the tentative Heat schedule.

The Heat will not announce a roster yet, but it is clear that Briante Weber will be on the team. Also joining him are likely Justise Winslow and Josh Richardson, although they may not play very much. Last year, Hassan Whiteside was with the Summer League team but did not participate in games.

The Heat also have several prospects from the Sioux Falls Skyforce that they are monitoring that could join them. And they always fill out the rest of the roster with undrafted rookies that may become a diamond in the rough.

Dan Craig, Chris Quinn and Juwan Howard are all possibily candidates to lead the team for Erik Spoelstra. We will have more about the Summer League when it becomes available.
