The Heat were more than $10 million short of Denver's offer at last report but most league observers still expect D-Wade to wind up in Miami— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) July 6, 2016
Sources: Free agent guard Dwyane Wade meeting with Denver Nuggets officials on Wednesday in New York. Story soon on @TheVertical.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojVerticalNBA) July 6, 2016
News of Denver's offer to Wade comes on the heels of rumors that Wade will join LeBron James and sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers. It would be strange to see Wade play on the Cavaliers, with Kyrie Irving needing the ball in his hands to stay effective. But then again, why is a 34-year-old Wade thinking about joining a team that went 33-49 last year?
Who expected this messy negotiation to take place with a so-called #HeatLifer? We'll have to see if Wade will put on another jersey.
