Noticably absent from this group picture with Udonis Haslem are the presumed starting five of Hassan Whiteside, Chris Bosh, Justise Winslow, Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters.

Several new additions signed by Pat Riley this summer posed for this group photo surrounding co-captain Udonis Haslem. Players not seen are Hassan Whiteside, Chris Bosh, Justise Winslow, Goran Dragic, Dion Waiters, Josh Richardson and Josh McRoberts. Excepting for the two Joshes, the picture indicates who will be the presumptive starters, via addition by subtraction.

Haslem's group will be investing their sweat equity into making the Miami Heat play them, if one or more of the starters stumble out of the gate. Their role consists of making the team into surprise contenders, and who else but Haslem can drive them to succeed?

Included in the photo are Tyler Johnson, Luke Babbitt, Wayne Ellington, Okaro White, Stefan Jankovic, Briante Weber, James Johnson, Haslem, Willie Reed, and Rodney McGruder. All of them can't make the opening day roster, but lack of effort will not be the reason they don't. The hashtags #theyYoungandRestless and #WeWillEarnEverything describe this group's mentality as they prepare to challenge the incumbents.

They look absolutely buff, in game condition and learning the Heat system in the gym. Under the tutelage of Udonis, Erik Spoelstra and assistant coach Dan Craig, I'm excited to see how they work together on the court once pre-season starts. Those contests may be meaningless in the standings, but gives fans a first glimpse of them in Heat uniforms.

Meanwhile Dragic looks good overseas as he works on his game for the Slovenian National Team.

The New York Knicks released a video of their top-ten plays of the year and Williams was featured in four of them. Miami hasn't gotten know several of the newcomers, but from the highlight clips and how they appear as a group, it should be a fun season in AA Arena.
