James Johnson, who sat out the Miami Heat’s Wednesday night win over the Chicago Bulls with tendinitis in his right knee, said that he would play tomorrow night at the Denver Nuggets.

Johnson, who was named as one of three captains for the team this season along with Udonis Haslem and Goran Dragic, said that he’s said tendinitis for a while and that it “flared up” in Wednesday morning’s shootaround. He hopes that “treatment non-stop” will help him put the tendinitis behind him, he said.
The player who signed a four-year, $60 million deal last summer has had an uneven season thus far. Johnson’s made just three of his 17 attempts from downtown thus far. Hopefully he plays well during the Heat’s six-game road trip.
