The Miami Heat (4-6) will gladly welcome back the services of starting shooting guard Dion Waiters tonight after a two-game absence following the birth of his daughter. Miami missed his offensive swagger, but against beatable teams such as the Phoenix Suns the team now has a chance to make their first road trip of the season a positive experience.
Part of that requires a bounce-back effort from Hassan Whiteside, who had his worse game of the season against the Warriors. Against a high-octane but young Suns squad, coach Erik Spoelstra may be tempted to give Whiteside a quick hook should he prove ineffective in favor of rising rookie Bam Adebayo.
Meanwhile, the Suns (4-7) have already fired head coach Earl Watson just three games into the season and shipped off guard Eric Bledsoe yesterday for center Greg Monroe, a protected first-round pick and a protected second-round pick.
