Game Preview: Heat continue home stand against the Pelicans

New, comments

After defeating the Mavericks last night, the Heat look to hold off the Pelicans tonight at the AAA

NBA: Miami Heat at New Orleans Pelicans Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports

Game Story

The Heat continue their home stand against the Pelicans tonight after routing the Mavericks last night thanks to some amazing play from Wayne Ellington. Unfortunately for Miami, they’ll need the same Wayne Ellington tonight as Dion Waiters suffered an ankle injury last night.

The Heat remain shorthanded now without Hassan, Waiters, Dragic, and Winslow. Like Miami, the Pelicans are also on the backend of a back-to-back after beating the Magic last night. Miami’s obvious weakness tonight will be in the paint, but it will also serve as a test for Bam Adebayo. This should be a good one.

Probable Starters:

  • Josh Richardson
  • Kelly Olynyk
  • Bam Adebayo
  • Wayne Ellington
  • Tyler Johnson

  • Rajon Rondo
  • Jrue Holiday
  • E’Twaun Moore
  • Anthony Davis
  • DeMarcus Cousins
