The Miami Heat will select with the 14th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft in June.
The Heat had a 98.2% chance to stay at #14 as they were the team with the best record in the lottery, missing the Playoffs. They had a 0.5% chance at the #1 pick and a 1.8% chance at getting a top 3 pick.
None of that mattered, as it was revealed at the very beginning that they would be staying put at number 14. In 2015, the Heat stood still at #10 and thus keeping their pick from being traded outside the top 10. They selected Justise Winslow. In 2009, the Heat had the best odds to win the lottery after finishing the season 15-67, but they lost to the Chicago Bulls who had the 9th best chance. They selected Derrick Rose and the Heat took Michael Beasley.
And in 2003, the Heat took Dwyane Wade with 5th overall pick.
Alonzo Mourning represented the Heat at the Draft Lottery shown on ESPN.
