The Miami Heat face a decision with two of their young, undrafted players from last season tomorrow. It probably won’t be a difficult one.
According to the Sun-Sentinel’s Ira Winderman, the Heat have until the end of the day Aug. 1 to guarantee about $453,000 for Rodney McGruder and Okaro White. If the Heat opt not to guarantee that money, McGruder and White would become free agents.

McGruder started 65 games for the Heat, emerging as the starting small forward after Justise Winslow’s season-ending injury. Okaro White first joined the Heat mid-season last year — also following Winslow’s injury — and played in 35 games. White also was the only player on the team’s 2017 summer league team with Heat experience. He expanded his game in summer league play, developing his ball-handling skills.
