Heat G League affiliate Skyforce to hold open tryouts in Miami, announce season schedule

Skyforce will hold open tryouts in Miami and Sioux Falls.

Update: The Skyforce Miami tryout has been postponed to Sunday, September 24th due to Hurricane Irma.

The new location is:

The Sioux Falls tryout will still be held on September 16, 2017.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA G League have announced they will be holding open tryouts in Miami and Sioux Falls next month for a chance to join the Miami Heat’s affiliate team.

Tryouts in front of Skyforce and Heat personnel will take place in Miami on Sunday, September 10, and in Sioux Falls on Saturday, September 16, 2017 for a spot on the Skyforce’s training camp in October.

Here are the details for both tryout sessions:

Miami Tryout

Sunday, September 10 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (8 a.m. check-in)

$150 pre-registration fee • Registration deadline: Friday, September 8.

Ransom Everglades High School • 3575 Main Highway, Miami, FL 33133

Sioux Falls Tryout

Saturday, September 16 from 12 p.m.-3 p.m. (11:30 a.m. check-in)

$150 pre-registration fee • Registration deadline: Thursday, September 14.

Sanford Pentagon • 2210 W. Pentagon Pl., Sioux Falls, SD, 57107

All players must be eligible to play in the G League and must pre-register prior to attending tryouts by submitting forms available online (skyforceonline.com) or at the Skyforce office (2131 S. Minnesota Ave.) along with a $150 nonrefundable fee. The Skyforce also announced their 2017-18 regular season schedule consisting of 50 games with 24 home games at the Sanford Pentagon, 24 road games and two neutral games to take place at the 2018 NBA G League Showcase in Mississauga, Ontario.

They will open the season on the road against the Memphis Hustle, one of the G League’s new teams this season, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 and will host another new team, the Lakeland Magic at 6:30pm on Monday, November 6.
