Many Miami Heat fans are celebrating Goran Dragic’s dazzling 35-point MVP performance in the EuroBasket final earlier today. Dragic’s teammate Hassan Whiteside congratulated him on the victory.

But Dragic also suffered late-game cramps at EuroBasket and was sidelined late. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel’s Ira Winderman speculated that the Heat may give Dragic a bit of rest in the opening days of training camp, which starts Sept. 26.
It will be interesting to see if Heat require Dragic to report at start of camp, after being sidelined late by cramps today at EuroBasket.

It’s good that Dragic didn’t suffer any major injury, and any rest the Heat give Dragic will be precautionary. On the whole, Heat fans should be happy that Dragic is playing high-level basketball before the NBA season even starts. And he emerged (mostly) unscathed.
