Although a lot of outside speculation has centered on whether Dwyane Wade will don a Miami Heat jersey again, the Heat had their media day Monday in advance of tomorrow’s start to training camp. And Miami players looked happy to start the season after barely missing the playoffs.

Udonis Haslem, who spoke out against Donald Trump’s assessment of his vulgar comments in an Access Hollywood tape as “locker room talk” last year, also discussed the recent controversy as the president injected himself into a debate surrounding sports and racial injustice.

From a basketball perspective, third-year forward Justice Winslow said that he slimmed down over the summer and that fans should expect to see a better player. But when asked about his shooting?

That’s a little disappointing, as shooting has taken such a vital role in today’s NBA. Teams routinely sagged off on Winslow in his 18-game sophomore season, hindering the Heat’s offensive flow. Hopefully the Heat’s 2015 first-round pick at least has a respectable jump-shot.
