Justise Winslow hosting event at Duke to help victims of Harvey

The hurricane devastated his hometown of Houston, and he’s doing his part to help

Miami Heat forward Justise Winslow is doing his part to raise some money and support for victims of hurricane Harvey that devastated his hometown of Houston, Texas last week.

While hurricane Irma directs its path to the city of Miami and south Florida, Harvey already has victims that need help. And since Winslow grew up in Houston, he’s joining the party to get them help.

He will be hosting an event alongside the Duke basketball team this Saturday to raise some money. $10 gets a person in and more donations can be made. Winslow played one year at Duke, winning the 2015 national championship, before the Heat drafted him with the 10th pick of the NBA Draft.

JJ Watt has raised millions of dollars to help the city of Houston as well.

Expect more Heat players to begin support of people in south florida when Irma hits and causes damage.
