The Miami Heat are riding a seven-game winning streak now. And with winning, recognition follows.
The NBA announced that Goran Dragic won the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week award. Lou Williams of the Los Angeles Clippers won the award for the Western Conference.

This honor marks the second Player of the Week win for Dragic, who has catalyzed an improving Heat offense during the winning streak.
With the Heat getting hot right before the NBA All-Star break, will we see Dragic be named to his first-ever All-Star game? If he wants the honor, he’s certainly playing well at the right time. It’s important to note, though, that the league changed the rules this year. Now, the top vote-getters are considered “captains” and will select the reserves without regard for conference affiliation.
