Tyler Johnson has been a huge part of Miami’s success lately, but it seems now as if they’ll be missing him for a little while. Midway through the third quarter of today’s matinee matchup against the Bulls, Johnson landed awkwardly after a drive against Robin Lopez. Johnson immediately went to the ground, clutching his leg and was clearly in pain. He would be carted off of the court and not return. The video of the injury is below:

However, things are looking a bit better for Johnson. What initially looked like a knee injury was ruled a sprained ankle after the game after his X-Rays came back negative. It was also reported by Tom D’Angelo, that Miami will wait to see how Johnson’s feeling tomorrow before pursuing an MRI.
No MRI scheduled for Tyler Johnson. Heat will wait to see how he feels in morning to determine if he needs one.

This is very positive news for both the Heat and Johnson, but we’ll obviously know more in the coming days. It’s safe to assume Johnson, will at least miss some time.
