At the time of writing this, Goran Dragić is not an All-Star, but there’s a chance he might be by the time you read this.
Kevin Love’s hand injury last night opened up a new roster spot on Team LeBron potentially allowing Goran Dragić to make his first appearance. While some are predicting an appearance for Ben Simmons or Jaylen Brown, there has been no shortage of support for the Dragon:
It’s time to put @Goran_Dragic in the AllStar game @NBA

. @goran_dragic you are an All Star to #HeatNation #LetsGoHeat
— Micky Arison (@MickyArison) January 31, 2018
@Goran_Dragic got robbed. He’s an AllStar. He should be. @MiamiHEAT are the only top 4 seed without an AllStar. Dragic has numbers too 17ppg,5 asst. Doesn’t winning count ?

Obviously there is some bias here, with Arison being Miami’s owner and Wade being a former teammate of Dragić. Still, Mark Jones makes a good point. Winning should matter when selecting All-Stars and with Miami having the opportunity to take sole possession of the third seed in the Eastern Conference away from the Cavs tonight, Dragić should definitely be considered.
