Josh Richardson missed the Miami Heat’s first three preseason games with a left thigh contusion. But after a good practice and scrimmage on Sunday, the swingman may be ready to play in Monday’s preseason game against the Orlando Magic.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel’s Ira Winderman quoted Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, who said that Richardson looked “very good.” Richardson said that he felt a lot more explosive Sunday, and Dwyane Wade added that Richardson didn’t show any signs of rust.
Of course, this news about Richardson comes after ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that talks between the Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves over a Jimmy Butler trade broke down at the 11th hour. Wojnarowski said that Miami had softened on including Richardson in a deal for Butler.
Will these two teams resume their talks over Butler? Will Richardson remain a member of the Heat?
