Wayne Ellington to warm up with intent to play against Sixers

Ellington has missed the last four games with a left quad contusion.

The Miami Heat have missed Wayne Ellington over the past four games. He’s Miami’s only great 3-point shooter. Coming into tonight’s game, he’s ranked eighth in made 3-pointers. And fortunately, he’s warming up with the intent to play tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Ellington suffered a left quad contusion in Miami’s Feb. 27 win over the Sixers. Ellington’s likely return tonight brings the Heat to their full roster, with the exception of Dion Waiters.

His return will force Erik Spoelstra to continue tinkering with his rotation. How will he continue to juggle the minutes of Ellington, Tyler Johnson, Dwyane Wade and Josh Richardson? On this team, Spo may play who is playing well on a particular night. Hopefully, Ellington can provide some much-needed shooting tonight and the rest of the season.
