The Miami Heat added player number 18 to their roster with the return of Jarnell Stokes. Stokes previously was with the Miami Heat and Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Stokes played part of the 2015-16 season with the Heat when they acquired him in the trade that sent Mario Chalmers to the Memphis Grizzlies. They then traded him to the New Orlean Pelicans at the deadline in a salary dump to get below the luxury tax.
Jarnell Stokes has agreed to a deal with the Miami Heat, according to sources. Stokes, who was named G-League MVP in 2016, was previously with the Heat during the 2015-16 season.

But, now he’s back. And he makes the 18th player the Heat have under roster. Which will be interesting to see what happens next because Udonis Haslem and Dwyane Wade are still not signed to the roster.
Remember, the Heat cannot take more than 20 contracts into training camp. So if they are coming, this is the end of the roster moves so to speak for the Heat.
Stokes doesn’t have a likely chance to make the roster, but he’s an intriguing talent who has had success in the G League.
