ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Dion Waiters had a panic attack on the Miami Heat’s flight from Phoenix to Los Angeles Thursday night. Waiters consumed a THC-infused edible before his panic attack, according to the report. THC is the active ingredient in marijuana.

He received medical treatment after the plane landed in Los Angeles and travelled with the team back to Miami.
Andy Slater was the first to report the news of Waiters suffering a medical emergency on the team plane.
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reported that Waiters has not been suspended as of Saturday afternoon. He has not yet played in a regular season game this year.
