The Miami Heat got some good news and some bad news today. Justise Winslow returned to practice and is likely to return to game action tomorrow following a nine-game absence. But Jimmy Butler is sick and may not play, preventing Miami’s two key perimeter players from getting playing time together.
Winslow entered the NBA’s concussion protocol after he collided with Paul Millsap in the Heat’s Nov. 5 loss to the Denver Nuggets. He returned to practice Tuesday and is probable to play in the Heat’s game at the Houston Rockets tomorrow.
INJURY UPDATE: Winslow (concussion) returned to practice and is probable to play tomorrow at Houston.

Haslem (illness) will be active.
Okpala (Achilles) & Jones, Jr. (hip) have been ruled out.
Butler (illness) & Johnson (illness) will have their statuses determined later.
Since Winslow sustained his concussion, Jimmy Butler has assumed the role of Miami’s point forward. And he’s averaging a career-high 6.7 assists per game. Winslow and Butler have both played in just two games this entire season. And Butler’s illness puts his status in question for Wednesday’s game. As I wrote before, the Heat need to see how Winslow and Butler play together offensively.
