Miami's Dion Waiters has been suspended without pay for "his failure to adhere to team policies, violation of team rules and continued insubordination," per team. Waiters eligible to return after Heat play Utah on December 23rd.— Chris Mannix (@SIChrisMannix) December 13, 2019
Waiters first appeared on the team bench during the Heat’s 2-1 road trip earlier this month that included wins against the Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors and a loss to the Boston Celtics. That was after Waiters had served a suspension for 10 games for conduct detrimental to the team. The former Syracuse guard was also suspended for the team’s season opener.
