Game Story:
The Miami Heat are ending a 3-game road trip and hope to do it with a winning record when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night. The Heat lost on Monday in Memphis in a game they could have won, meanwhile the 76ers haven’t played since Sunday when they lost to the Brooklyn Nets.
Philadelphia (20-8) embarrassed the Heat a few weeks ago in Philadelphia, exposing Miami’s interior defense and leveraging a tired Heat team. It won’t be much different this time as Miami is played it’s 4th game in 6 nights and will be without Goran Dragic and Justise Winslow.
Miami (19-8) with a win would regain a stance as #2 in the East, and with a loss could be tied for 6th in the East...that’s how close the middle of the East is right now. Not that this game is super important, but falling to 0-2 to a team they are running alongside currently is not good.
Miami will have to come out with fresh legs knowing that this is the last road game before an extended home stay over Christmastime.
FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat a 14% chance to win this game.
