Game Preview: Miami Heat host Indiana Pacers

New, comments

Miami and Indiana meet up for the first time this season.

NBA: Utah Jazz at Miami Heat Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Game Story:

The Miami Heat continue to enjoy great success at AmericanAirlines Arena this season with a 13-1 home record but will face the Indiana Pacers (22-10) another surprising East team that has exceeded preseason expectations despite being shorthanded, in another tough test.

Seven of the ten losses this season for the Pacers, however, have been on the road and they are without Malcolm Brogdon, their leading scorer and assist maker, and continue to be without the services of All-Star Victor Oladipo, who is expected to make his season debut next month. Nevertheless, the feisty Pacers have now won six of their past seven games — including an overtime win against the Toronto Raptors and their only loss in that stretch was against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Justise Winslow remains inactive for the Heat tonight.

FiveThirtyEight gives the Heat a 65% chance to win this game.
