Game Story:
The Miami Heat (23-8) host the Philadelphia 76ers (23-11) on the second night of a back-to-back for both teams. While the Heat managed to beat the Indiana Pacers by a point last night after a wild possession to finish the game, the Sixers conversely lost to the Orlando Magic by a point, 98-97, on the road.
It remains to be seen whether or not Joel Embiid will play tonight after playing 37 minutes in Orlando, though the rivalry against the Heat and the unexpected loss could mean at least a reduced role. Philadelphia had won three straight before last night.
Jimmy Butler has scored 25 total points in his two prior match-ups against his former team and struggled with his shot last night, so he may be due for a breakout game.
Justise Winslow (back) remains inactive for the Heat tonight.
FiveThirtyEight (surprisingly) gives the Heat just a 43% chance to win this game. ESPN’s Basketball Power Index has the Heat with a 57.5% advantage.
