Game Story:
The Miami Heat (24-8) are coming off two intense one-point victories on back-to-back nights for the first time in franchise history and now turn their attention to the lowly Washington Wizards (9-22) tonight at the Capital One Arena.
Miami beat Washington 112-103 in their first matchup this season on December 6, led by Jimmy Butler’s triple-double of 28 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, and has now won 11 of their last 14 games against their division rivals. The Heat also currently own a league-best five-game win streak.
Justise Winslow (back) remains inactive for the Heat tonight. The Wizards are not currently listing Bradley Beal (right knee soreness) in the expected starting lineup, but he has not been officially ruled out yet and is questionable. The team not only had Beal out in their loss to the New York Knicks on Saturday but were also without rookie first-round pick Rui Hachimura (groin), C.J. Miles (wrist), Davis Bertans (quad), Thomas Bryant (foot), and Moritz Wagner (ankle).
FiveThirtyEight has the Heat with a 65% chance to win this game.
