Game Story:
The Miami Heat suffered one of their most disappointing losses of the season when they let a big lead slip away in the fourth quarter against the Sacramento Kings on Friday. With a golden opportunity to go up 2-0 on their road trip wasted, the Heat must now visit the mighty Golden State Warriors on Sunday night in what could their toughest test yet this season.
Though the Heat still have a winning record at 14-12 on the road despite their latest loss, the Warriors are 20-7 at home and have won 14 of their last 15 games overall. So yeah, the Heat have their work cut out for them.
Having Dwyane Wade on the court would certainly help the cause. After suffering a nasty fall on the court and going through the NBA’s concussion protocol, Wade returned to play in Sacramento and didn’t appear to have any further issues but he will be re-evaluated before he’s cleared to play tonight. Getting consistent play out of Hassan Whiteside, Josh Richardson and Justise Winslow along with a strong showing from the bench is an absolute necessity to have any hope for a Heat victory.
Probable Starters:
Heat: Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters, Josh Richardson, James Johnson, Hassan Whiteside
Warriors: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, DeMarcus Cousins
