Game Preview: Heat head to Portland for late night match-up

New, comments

After a disappointing homestand, the Heat begin a tough West Coast road trip tonight against Portland.

NBA: Portland Trail Blazers at Miami Heat Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports

Game Story:

The Miami Heat are struggling. Right now, they’re a team without an identity playing themselves out of the playoffs. The games are tough to watch and they’re desperate for a trade, or maybe just All-Star Break. Players are stepping up, but foundational players from the last couple years are regressing as well. This has resulted in an under .500 team. Can the dynamic be fixed? It’s honestly too early to tell, but Spoelstra and Riley live for challenges like this.

There’s no doubt about it, tonight will be a tough match-up for the Heat. They’ve been road warriors before, let’s see if they can do it again.

Probable Starters:

Heat: Justise Winslow, Tyler Johnson, Josh Richardson, James Johnson, Hassan Whiteside

Blazers: Maurice Harkless, Al-Farouq Aminu, Jusuf Nurkic, CJ McCollum, Damian Lillard
