The Miami Heat (29-34) are visiting the Charlotte Hornets (29-34) in a very important Eastern Conference playoff matchup. The Hornets currently hold the 8th spot in the East, but have the same record as the Heat. Charlotte has already beat Miami twice this season and so they hold the tie-breaker. This will be 3rd out of 4 total matchups. So if the Heat lost this, they will forfeit a tie-breaker to the Hornets.
With only 19 games remaining, everyone is important.
When: Wednesday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. ET
Where: Spectrum Center, Charlotte, NC
TV: Fox Sports Sun
Win Probability: According the FiveThirtyEight the Heat have a 30% chance to win.
Charlotte: Kemba Walker, Jeremy Lamb, Nicolas Batum, Marvin Williams, Willy Hernangomez
Miami: Justise Winslow, Dion Waiters, Josh Richardson, Kelly Olynyk, Bam Adebayo
Hornets: JP Macura (Out)
Heat: Goran Dragic (Out), James Johnson (Questionable)
What To Watch For
Justise Winslow is a good defender. But there is only so much he can do against a quick and explosive guard like Kemba Walker. If he gets it going from the perimeter and Winslow is forced to overplay that it could spell disaster for Miami. The Heat will need to have a good game plan in place without Goran Dragic to help.
