The Miami Heat are doing some roster maintenance before the end of the 2018-19 NBA season with the announcement that they are signing two-way player Duncan Robinson to a standard NBA contract.
Robinson was signed to a two-way contract on July 10 and went on to earn All-NBA G League Third Team and NBA G League All-Rookie Team honors after starting in all 33 games he played with Miami’s G league affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He set a new single-season Skyforce record with 149 3-pointers and averaged 21.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 36.9 minutes while shooting 51.4%, including 48.5% from three-point range and 80.3% from the foul line.
The rookie has appeared in 13 games, including one start, this season with the Heat averaging 2.4 points and 1.0 rebounds in 8.8 minutes.
Miami now has 14 players under contract after waiving Rodney McGruder on Sunday.
