The Miami Heat have announced the acquisition of the #44 pick in the second round of the 2019 NBA Draft. Miami will be sending out cash considerations and a future conditional second round pick to the Atlanta Hawks to complete the trade.
Sources: Miami sent Atlanta $1.88M in cash for the No. 44 overall pick in the Draft, which could set the market for picks in that range. https://t.co/WZ0DirXZZw

The pick originally belonged to the Charlotte Hornets and was acquired by the Hawks in a previous trade.
The Heat now have the #13 and the #44 picks in tomorrow’s draft. They do not own their second round pick this year as it was sent to Charlotte (since traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves) in the 2014 trade to move up two spots in order to draft Shabazz Napier. Miami also acquired the Boston Celtics’ top-55 protected 2019 second round pick for Zoran Dragic in 2015 but it was then sent with Chris “Birdman” Andersen in their trade with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2016.
