Contrary to multiple reports earlier today, the proposed trade with the Dallas Mavericks that first involved Goran Dragic and later Kelly Olynyk and Derrick Jones Jr. will not happen.
Can independently confirm that Mavericks want Derrick Jones Jr. and Heat has said no. Miami could always change its mind or find another team with cap space to dump salary to satisfy cap requirements of Butler deal. Difficult to see Butler deal falling through at this point.

There is still more to the potential trade with the Philadelphia 76ers to acquire Jimmy Butler that will need to be completed in order for the All-Star to sign his new max contract with the Heat, but the Mavs will not be a part of it.
For now, Dragic as well as Olynyk and Jones Jr. remain with the Heat until confirmation is being made on which team will get involved to make the salary cap math work.
We will soon find out how these trades ultimately end up becoming but stay tuned!
