This donation matches a $1 million contribution from the Carnival Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Carnival Corporation, of which Micky Arison is the chair.

Hurricane Dorian pounded much of the Carolina coast on Thursday. It killed at least 23 people in the Bahamas.
