Game Story:
The Miami Heat (28-12) hit the road again in another effort to improve their away record in the first of two match-ups this season against the Oklahoma City Thunder (23-18) tonight.
OKC has lost two of their last three games, but prior to that had won 11 of their last 13 games. Starting center Steven Adams played just seven minutes in their last outing after suffering a left knee contusion and backup Nerlens Noel (ankle sprain) has missed the past six games. Though Miami has plenty of scoring punch off the bench, the Thunder can counter with point guard Dennis Schroder, who has been effective offensively this season as a reserve averaging 18.3 points.
Tyler Herro (knee) remains day-to-day after missing his first game of the season and is questionable for tonight. Justise Winslow did not accompany the team on this two-game road trip as he recovers from persistent back issues.
FiveThirtyEight has the Heat with a 31% chance to win this game. ESPN’s Basketball Power Index has the Heat with a 47% chance to win.
