Game Story:
The Miami Heat (32-14) are looking to get their first win over the Boston Celtics (30-15) this season. The Heat, coming off last night’s home win over the Magic, will see the Celtics without one of their main contributors, Jayson Tatum.
Miami is 7-1 vs the other +.500 teams in the East (76ers, Bucks, Raptors and Pacers). But they are 0-1 against the Celtics this year. And this will be the second time they play Boston on the back end of a back-to-back.
The Heat’s biggest advantage in this game will be their bench contribution. The Celtics don’t offer very much scoring from a second unit — especially with Tatum out. If Dragic, Herro and the rest of the crew can play well, it puts a lot of pressure on the Celtics. This should be a really good game.
FiveThirtyEight has the Heat with a 47% chance to win this game.
