Miami Heat could be very shorthanded for Game 2 without two of their best players.

With injuries to their three best players, the Miami Heat were manhandled by the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of the 2020 NBA Finals two days ago. Game 2 doesn’t figure to be any easier with sources telling ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that both Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic have been ruled out for tonight’s game.

Adebayo suffered a neck and shoulder strain and is “still struggling with pain and a lack of mobility surrounding his left shoulder and neck.” However the report does mention that he is still hopeful to return for Game 3 on Sunday.

As for Goran Dragic, the guard suffered a plantar tear of the left foot on Wednesday but “has been able to put some pressure on the foot, sources said, but the injury is painful and hampers mobility.”

The Heat’s other All-Star, Jimmy Butler rolled his ankle more than once in Game 1 but he was not listed in the injury report and he presumably is ready to start tonight.

“A little bit sore but I’ll be okay with some treatment and get ready to go again,” Butler said after Game1. “I got to be ready to go. We’ll see how it feels tomorrow but I’m going to be fine.”
