The Miami Heat won Game 3 behind a tremendous and all-time game from All-Star Jimmy Butler. In Game 4, the Heat are hoping they will have their other All-Star return to the lineup to compete in the NBA Finals.
Bam Adebayo was hurt in Game 1 with a neck strain and missed the second half and all of Game 2 and Game 3. But Adebayo is ready to return, just waiting on clearance from the team’s medical staff. The expectation is that the decision on Adebayo playing Game 4 will be made shortly before the team takes the court for warmups.
Goran Dragic’s status for Game 3 remains unknown — but after the off-day media availability it seems very unlikely that Dragic plays. He said himself it is a “low chance” for Game 4.
The return of Bam would be a huge boost to the Heat who will be looking at evening the series against the Lakers who will make considerable adjustments against Jimmy Butler after he completely controlled them in Game 3. The Lakers will probably have a lot more urgency to get a win, but so will the Heat. This is the most important game of the season for both of these teams.
FiveThirtyEight has the Heat at 53% chance to win Game 4.
