The NBA announced the preseason schedule for the 2020-21 season today. Like the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season, it includes two exhibition games for the Miami Heat.
Heat will play 2 preseason games: home against New Orleans on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m and in Tampa against Toronto (where Raptors are playing home games) at 7 p.m on Dec. 18. Heat hasn't yet said if any fans at home games.

The Heat will host the New Orleans Pelicans Monday, Dec. 14 at AmericanAirlines Arena. Former Miami coach Stan Van Gundy recently took the job as the head coach of Zion Williamson and Co. And then Miami will visit the Toronto Raptors in Tampa, Florida, where they are playing home games during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Miami will open training camp Tuesday. There, Breein Tyree and Paul Eboua will compete for the Heat’s final two-way roster spot. Newcomers like Avery Bradley, Moe Harkless and 2020 draft pick Precious Achiuwa will also get acquainted with Heat culture in training camp.
And don’t be surprised if we see some stellar performances in preseason action. Last season, an undrafted rookie named Kendrick Nunn exploded for 40 points in the Heat’s preseason finale.
The regular season will start Dec. 22.
