GAME STORY
The Miami Heat are finishing up their preseason when they visit the Toronto Raptors across the state in Tampa.
The Heat lost to the Pelicans, although they were without Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic. The Raptors have a pair of wins against the Hornets to start their preseason. Both these teams are looking to make some final decisions and tune-ups before the regular season begins next week.
Miami may showcase BJ Johnson and Max Strus, even more, to decide which one of these players to offer a two-way contract to and which one to waive. But regardless, this is a game to continue to find some rhythm and work in some new players into the rotation.
Fred VanVleet will be the biggest problem for the Heat to start — and how Miami defends Pascal Siakim will need some clarity. Win or lose doesn’t matter, what we are looking for is good habits and a good flow offensively.
And...we hope to see Jimmy Butler back out there!
HEAT VS RAPTORS: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18 AT 7 PM.
