Game Story:
The Miami Heat (35-18) are hoping to end their 5-game west road trip before the All-Star break with a win as the visit the Utah Jazz (35-18). The Heat are currently 1-3 on this trip, coming off a win against the Warriors.
Miami has integrated both Jae Crowder and Andre Iguodala into the rotation, and they will be without Meyers Leonard and Tyler Herro who are both in Miami receiving treatment for injuries. Without Leonard, the Heat have a much harder task to handle All-Star Rudy Gobert. The Heat beat the Jazz in Miami back in December, but this should be a great matchup.
The Jazz are lead in scoring by Donovan Mitchell at 24.3 PPG and Jimmy Butler will take the primary lead on guarding him. This is one game where Duncan Robinson may be able to survive defensively — as his primary assignments would be Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles. They are both capable scorers and shooters but don’t power and explosive players that have seen Robinson be a weak link.
The X-Factor in all of this is Mike Conley. He’s been working his way back to who he is capable of being, a game-changing PG. But he’s listed as questionable for this game.
FiveThirtyEight has the Heat with just a 28% chance to win tonight.
