Game Preview: Heat begin homestand against T’Wolves

New, comments

The Miami Heat are welcoming back James Johnson as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves.

NBA: Miami Heat at Minnesota Timberwolves Marilyn Indahl-USA TODAY Sports

Game Story:

The Miami Heat (36-21) are coming off a really bad loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers which saw them squander a 22 point lead.

They are ready to put that and the busy road schedule when they welcomes the Minnesota Timberwolves (16-40) to start a 5-game home-stand at AmericanAirlines Arena. The Timberwolves will be without the centerpiece Karl-Anthony Towns and the Miami Heat are hoping to welcome back Jimmy Butler to their lineup.

Minnesota has lost 19 of their last 20 games. Yes, you read that right...they are struggling. The Heat simply cannot allow them to come in and pick up a win on their home court. The Heat’s biggest challenge will be dealing with D’Angelo Russell, but Miami has plenty of defenders to throw his way.

FiveThirtyEight has the Heat with a 86% chance to win tonight.
