When Jimmy Butler appeared on JJ Redick’s podcast and discussed his departure from the Philadelphia 76ers, the NBA season was still ongoing.
That seems like a long time ago, doesn’t it?
That episode was just released last week, and Duncan Robinson joined Redick on his podcast.
The day the NBA got shut down, plus @MiamiHEAT’s @D_Bo20 talks about the shooters he looked up to on ‘The @jj_redick Podcast With @talter.’ #JJRedickPodhttps://t.co/2REhlWO6Gr

A highlight of the conversation came when Robinson said that he hit a shot over the 6-foot Fred VanVleet and said, “He’s way too short to guard me.” Robinson said that the two undrafted success stories “started going at it. It was going in this place I really didn’t want it to go.” Eventually, Robinson told VanVleet that he had a lot of respect for him.
Robinson also told Redick that he feels challenged as a white shooter “first and foremost defensively.”
The 6-foot-8 shooter who launched from two-way player to NBA starter in his two seasons was on track to hit 300 3-pointers this season. He already surpassed Wayne Ellington’s single-season 3-point Heat record.
