In an article for the Chicago Sun-Times on Friday, Joe Cowley said that the Chicago Bulls would possibly be interested in poaching Adam Simon, who is the Vice President of Basketball Operations/Assistant General Manager for the Miami Heat. The Bulls are looking for an executive with full authority on basketball decisions.
Monday, though, a Heat spokesperson shot down that rumor. Simon will remain with the Heat.

Simon started working for the Heat 25 years ago as an intern in the video room with Erik Spoelstra. From 2013 to 2019, he was the General Manager for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Miami’s G League affiliate. He has earned praise in recent years for his role in finding young talent, whether it’s in the Draft — Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro — or from the undrafted ranks — Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, Derrick Jones Jr.
