Jimmy Butler is expected to play tomorrow against the Raptors, barring unforeseen circumstances, sources tell @flasportsbuzz and me.— Anthony Chiang (@Anthony_Chiang) August 2, 2020
Erik Spoelstra declines to comment further, nor offer update on Butler's status for Monday afternoon vs. Raptors. https://t.co/mh6kNCQue0— Ira Winderman (@IraHeatBeat) August 2, 2020
Jae Crowder commented on the absence, saying that, “It’s definitely a curve ball to us to hear stuff like what’s going on with him.” Who knows what that is referring to, but I just hope Butler and his family are OK. Hopefully the fact that he’s still in the NBA bubble means that it will just be a day off.
Jae Crowder on Jimmy Butler, "We want to talk to him as soon as he gets out of quarantine and whatever he's in. But it's just next-man-up mentality." And, "It's definitely a curve ball to us to hear stuff like what's going on with him. And you never know what to expect."— Ira Winderman (@IraHeatBeat) August 2, 2020
